We broke up in 2020 when our son was 9 months old. I soon filed for divorce https://onlinedivorceny.com/new-york-divorce-law-waiting-period/. He was an alcoholic, cheated, lied, etc.,

I went through several therapists trying to feel better because I felt like I was putting my child in a dangerous situation. I struggled with this for years after our divorce.

Moral of the story here: DON'T REPEAT, DON'T make the same mistake I did in trying to be nice and warm.
